Comments about Buck Knives® 10-Point Omni Hunter® Folding Hunting Knife, Mossy Oak® Blaze camo:
First off, let me just say this really is a nice knife. Good solid thick blade, sharp out of the box, nylon sheath isn't a cheapo. It really is quality and bright vibrant blaze orange. Locking mech. on the knife is very strong and solid. No play or wiggle in the blade when it's open, and when it's closed it stays closed. On the negative side are three things. They aren't so negative that I regret the purchase, I just feel Buck could have been tighter on their standards with these. 1st: The Blaze orange that shows up so nicely and bright on the sheath was not transferred to the knife handle. The handle its self was much closer to a burnt/rust orange than blaze. Part of the reason I got this knife was because I thought it'd be brighter than the leaves and sticks I'd potentially be laying it down in in the woods. Should have been a brighter handle color. 2nd: The one handed opening thumb tab should have been a little further up the spine of the knife. I find my self more often than not re-adjusting my hand and fingers to open the knife with my thumb. Not a difficult knife to open, but could use a little extra leverage to open one handed. 3rd: The handle's gap where the knife folds into is a little sharp-ish on the plastic edges. Sort of takes away the comfort factor a little bit when you really what to grip the handle. That's sort of a stretch there, but I figured it was worth mentioning. Obviously not as comfy as a fixed blade knife with full handle, but still not bad. Actually, most of the time I don't even pay attention to that either.
Still a very solid well made knife and I DO recommend this one for someone looking for a VERY lightweight quality sharp blade that can be used across a very broad spectrum of uses.
