Great for nebies and tinkering

Everyone says to try these lil bounty hunters (of all models) at home first. I took it strait out of the box at the lake and spent about two hours with it. My 4 year old could even locate things with it. Turn the sensitivity up high and the discriminator half way or so (to eliminate picking up tons of popcan tabs! and candy wrappers) and you're ready to go.
I found one quarter, a dime, about ten pennies, a pair of glasses, some type of turnbuckle or chain extension or something, a co2 tank, and some sinkers. I didn't "hunt" hard or anything, I had a 2 year old and a four year old with me.
An older gentleman in line behind me at GM told me to check my yard, he said I'd find more there as anyplace....we're going to this evening! Great buy for the money, and great for starters!
