What size heater do I need for a 25 ft Harris flote boat with I/o?

It depends on the size of your engine compartment. I have a 310 Sea Ray which is 33ft. LOA and mounted this unit in the bilge permanently. I use a lift but drop the boat in the water if it is REALLY cold like our current cold spell of sustained temps. of 10 to 25 degrees for 3.5 days. Lowest bilge temp was 42. However I also dropped an Xtreme 750 wt. unit in there as well (used just in REALLY cold weather). Spending an extra $350 to $450 for the 2nd heater is cheap insurance in my opinion. I think these are great units but don't cheap out on the size of the units or number of them used.

The heater size is determined by the size of the compartment. For example, a 250w heater is recommended for 150 cu.ft.
