I also bought the transom hold downs, and once I bought them I would never have a boat without them. It makes loading/unloading so much simpler and I don't have to find them in the truck at the end of the day, they are always there. I used to use a separate strap to insure the bow stayed held down, if you have ever had a winch strap break you would know why. Now the bow is just as easy as the transom.

HOLDS GOOD
USE IT AS A SAFETY TO HOLD DOWN BOW. IT HOLDS IT DOWN NICE AND SNUG. SOMETIMES THE RELEASE DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY. STILL WORKS WELL THOUGH.

Comments about IMCO BoatBuckle G2 Bow Tie-Down System:
Hardesy part about the install is drilling the hole. You will most likely need to purchase a shorter bolt. I hooked it to the bow hook on the boat with a ring that keeps the strap from twisting. Holds the bow tight to the bow roller now and no more bouncing.

Q:
do you know how the tie-down attaches/mounts to the trailer?Asked on 5/26/2009 by David from TN3 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
David, the BoatBuckle G2 Retractable Tie-Down has a hole on the back side and comes with a nut, bolt and washer. You permanently mount the tie-down with the hardware to a hole or an eye on your trailer. If you have any other questions, you can e-mail us through our website at www.boatbuckle.com.

A:
It bolts to the trailer directly under the wench hook on your boat. My trailer already had a spot for such a thing so I did not have to drill any holes. If you trailer does not have a hole pre-drilled, you'll need to drill one. The bolt that comes with the tie down is plenty long to go thru trailer tubing.Answered on 8/22/2009 by O Seay D from Kansas City, MOVERIFIED BUYER
A:
Luckily my trailer had an angled support with a hole in it I could attach this to. If it had not been for that they provide you a bolt long enough to fit through a 4" trailer but they expect you to drill through both sides of the trailer to put the bolt through which is not impossible but will require a nice sharp bit and some patience.Answered on 8/28/2009 by SportsPhotog from Chandler, AZ
