It's A Blast
I carry this item in my emergency kit. Given suitable tinder, it will start a fire quickly, every time. I seldom use the word foolproof but this product almost is.

Comments about Ultimate Survival BlastMatch Fire Starter:
The blast match works just as described. It is easy to use and can be used with one hand in case of an injury. I have now included the blast match with my survival gear and will also add one to my regular camping supplies.

Comments about Ultimate Survival BlastMatch Fire Starter:
I look to have only the most essential items needed when I camp. This fire starter is far better than any other striker in my opinion. Sparks flew like the "4th of July", quickly igniting my tinder in 2-3 attempts. I broke a sweat using other striker devices, without success. This worked so well, it set my instructions on fire (which I no longer needed, as simple to use!)

Comments about Ultimate Survival BlastMatch Fire Starter:
I use this to start campfires, and the cook stove at scout camps. The kids are fascinated by it and want to learn to start fires without using matches. Great teaching tool for the lessons I give on what equipment to pack in an emergency survival kit.
Now all my friends want them too.

Q:
how do you use the flintAsked on 6/25/2010 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
open the lid and the flint is spring loaded, it will pop out. Simply press on the latch that holds the lid closed (It also has the steel striker built in). place the tip of the flint against your tinder, and press it down. A shower of sparks will come off it and onto your tinder starting your fire. Works really well. Tissue paper, Dryer lint, or cotton balls dipped in Paraffin will all catch fairly easily and get your fire going.Answered on 8/21/2010 by Scouter Jamie from Ontario Canada
