we were pleased with the end results we installed
four of these gas lift springs in a Changing
room we added onto a pontoon boat, they worked
perfectly once we found the proper location to
attach them. Now we simply lift the hatch
and the whole thing opens up automatically cool.

Great Product[...]
The product was of high quality, shipped quickly, and it was easy to install. I did however find a local vendor with a similar, although lesser quality product, for considerilbly less money.

Comments about Whitecap Black Powder-Coated Gas Lift Springs - 20"L extended, withstands 60 lbs.:
I couldn't find correct size replacement for worn out gas struts on my pick up truck's fiberglass bed cover at area auto parts stores.
Ordered these from Overton's and they worked perfectly.
Will be ordering some now to replace the ones on my pontoon's sun pad and changing station covers.

CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes we have tons of different sizes, but we can not get anything other than what we advertise. Try typing gas springs into the search box to see the vast variety that we carry.Answered on 11/25/2009 by Justin from Overton's Technician

Wasn't I suppose to get mounting brackets or clips with this order? I got the springs but not a single bracket and this is going in new product.Asked on 8/25/2009 by Anonymous1 answer

The springs are sold individually and the brackets are sold in pairs. This item does not come with the brackets they must be purchased seperately.Answered on 8/26/2009 by Matt from Gander Tech
Q:
I need a set of springs to hold up my back covers over my inboard. The springs that are on there are approximately 21" stretched out. Will the 20" work and also do I need a mounting kit?Asked on 5/4/2009 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
Not knowing what type of mounts are currently on the engine cover, we can guarantee that our gas spring mounts will work for these gas springs, but not the current ones on the engine cover. This is not to say that your current ones will not work, because they may we just can not guarantee they will.Answered on 10/20/2010 by Justin from Overton's
