Product Description
westland Uni-Mounts allow you to install boat tops at mounting points where conventional top mounts just won't work. The mounting surface no longer has to be totally horizontal or vertical. The Uni-Mount provides a solid base for installing conventional radius or deck top mounts at any angle necessary for a strong, neat, and clean mount. Stainless mounting screws are included for self-tapping or through-bolt installation. Sold in pairs.

        The option of using a bolt with a washer/nut for more strength, or the self tapping screw for ease of installation was a nice touch. I would recommed that these are mounted with the bolt, washer, nut combination for the strength of such a joint.

        The negative on this product design was the top 'half moon' part would not stay aligned for drilling and assembly, and mine wound up being installed a little cockeyed. Some serrations molded into one half, with alignment tabs in the other half would eliminate this issue, and be very cheap to modify the molds / material costs for the manufacture.
