Product Description
berkley The first and only nylon monofilament fishing line to physically change color. It's the "line-watcher's" line. You see it; the fish don't! Activated by UV light, this monofilament changes from clear to gold in sunlight - hi-vis above, clear below. Excellent shock strength provides strong holds under hard hooksets. This highly manageable line is outstanding for a wide variety of baits and techniques. Super strong and abrasion-resistant. 220-yd. spools.

This has to be the worst line i ever used from trilene. It frays and the "transoptic" u can't see for your life it claims to be more visable so that u can se your line. It does change to a gold color when the sun hits it. But i will never buy this line again! Do yourself a favor and buy SUFIX!

used berkley line for 40 years, started to use vanish line but found the line difficult to tie with old fingers and eyes. the transoptic line gives me the mono tying and the vanish optics. great combination.no complants yet.

                Comments about Berkley® Trilene® TransOptic™ Monofilament:

I use this line for flipping and pitching because it is easy to see the line above the water. My wife wanted to try it on her spincast reel. She experienced very little memory or line twist with #20 line.
