Q:how do i select the right length of paddle, for touringAsked on 4/1/2010 by Don
A:it depends on your arm length and kayak width, and on your intended use. for touring you probably paddle pretty low, and intend to paddle for long periods of time. a longer paddle, with a longer, narrower head SHOULD (the narrow head gives you less tension on your arms when you paddle, so you can get a pattern going and paddle for long periods of time) be a good choice.
this being said, its a matter of preference. start with something inexpensive, figure out what you like, and get something a little better once you know what you needAnswered on 1/24/2011 by SuperGoat from mifflintown Pa
