Comments about Barefoot International Deluxe Universal Contour Boom:

Was debating whether to buy the Barefoot International boom, or a Bemman boom. So glad we bought the BI boom! This boom is so strong and stable, which really makes is much safer to use than other booms. This BI boom is solid aluminum, so it's heavier, but because it's solid it doesn't spring back when a skier falls. It's also much better to use for advanced tricks like walking out from the boat at full speed directly on to the boom, or when using it for advanced turn tricks, or jumps. Doesn't flex and sling-shot you at all. A barefooter doesn't want a stretch rope, so why would you want a sling-shot boom? (You don't!) The handle is also smaller than other booms, so it's much easier to grip directly - greatly reducing arm fatigue. The engineering on this set-up is awesome. It should last for many, many years! Highly recommend it!

I use it for barefooting. When I have young children trying to learn to ski, it's great to use to give the confidence to get behind the boat.

Yes, suggest a boom extension OVT# 15938 to help get the skiers out of the side spray coming off the boat.

If it is an inboard mid engine direct drive Mastercraft 205 yes it would. If it is a Mastercraft 205 v-drive call me 561.523.1947 to get the part number for it because it is a different boom for the v-drive.

            A:

Yes if it is the inboard not the v-drive. The v-drive Moomba Outback needs a different boom.

        • Q:

Will this boom fit my 2003 Moomba Outback? I laid a board across the boat just behind the windshield and it measured 7.5" (gap between the board and the rear side of the pylon, not on center)

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

It is hard to say with the information that is provided here, but you will need to have a 2 inch diameter factory pylon. There is a different boom used for V-Drive applications where the ski tow is not going through the floor of the boat. For more information you can visit the supplier's website at

Will this boom fit a 1988 Supra Saltare?

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

Fits most boats with tapered pylons and windshields that extend up to 8" behind the pylon. You will have to make sure your boat fits this specification as we have no way of telling you what you have on any particular boat.
