With its concave mouth and seductive hula skirt, the Hula Popper elicits bone-crushing strikes from surface-feeding fish when "popped" over submerged timber, weed, or grass beds. Its concave mouth creates loud popping sounds and a bubble trail, while its hula skirt offers a seductive bit of fish-attracting flash. Can be plunked, popped, twitched or jerked. The slower you fish the Hula Popper, the more fish it pulls from cover to the surface. Ideal for targeting bass and pike. |

Used these as a kid and rediscovered them recently and I'm catching summer largemouths like crazy on them. Nothing more exciting than those topwater hits. The Hula Popper is a classic bass lure and out-performs many on the new "high tech" lures that cost a small fortune.
