The Eradicator worked great- I had to buy this after my neighbor let me borrow his old one for a day. It's the same design as his and he's been using it for years, so I know mine will last also. My kids even got into helping me out, they had fun with the "lighter" areas of weeds but it takes a good deal of work to get the thick areas cut loose (short back and forth strokes work best). We cleared a lot of area in a very short period of time. The handle is long enough to reach short distances from the dock, and the extension might be considered in the future, as I would then have enough reach to cover the width of a boat next to the dock- without having to get in (winter).

The pole extender made it more useful to reach beyond the immediate dock area to clear out water weeds. The Blade end did quickly sink to the soft lake bottom to Reach the weedy areas. Water ran out of the poles quickly to allow lifting and removing weeds from the lake. HOWEVER, many small weeds required a Re-scrubbing effort to release their hold in the lake bottom. Many small aquatic plants just drifted off to reseat themselves. I had to use a rake in a few days to harvest and remove plants that had replanted themselves. For the price, it was not as effective as I had hoped.

Quick & easy to do if use it early before weeds get tall. Now I just "spot weed"
Works as expected. A back and forth motion seems to work best.

The best tool in my garage. Wonderful for removing weeds that aren't real thick & heavy. Blades fairly easy to remove to sharpen. Be careful with this tool so you don't slice yourself.

I bought this weed rake to thin out the thick weed patch in front of my lake house. Boy is this a project on a thick weed bed. I spent over two hours and barely scratched the surface. You need to start this process early in the summer, not in the peak of weed growth. Otherwise it is a good device and lives up to its reputation. I bought the extension handle, but is a bit cumbersome to handle especially if it is full of weeds. Tough to bring out of the water and clean off.
