Wood Bows
I ordered two of these. They are easy to put together and use. Our boat looks good with the new cover.

This product was used on a small 15' sailboat to support a rain cover - which was also purchased from Overton's. I used 4 of them across the boat, in the newly purchased pockets. During the first rain, which was a light rain, 3 of the 4 caved in and the 4th one was deformed. Naturally after they caved in the boat collected a lot of water and was neaerly full of water when I discovered the situation. I presume this was just from the humidity and the weight of the wet cover. They have no supporting strength at all after they absorb some humidity from the air, they are like a "wet noodle". What a joke aned what a bunch of junk. I am so angry and frustrated I can't see straight. Believe me, don't buy this product. This product used to be made well, but not any more.

Adequate for light plastic tarps. The free ends in the center tended to splay out. A couple of cable ties fixed this problem.

Q:
I have an older boat with a canvass cover. The cover has slots that support what looks like 48 inch wooden bows. They would have to be attached to a pole that could reach the bottom of the boat. I'm having a hard time finding the right product that will fit into the slots. Will this product work for this or am I better off going to Home Depot and finding something??Asked on 4/15/2012 by Anonymous0 answers
Q:
what is the width of this product? I have bow sockets which have an inside opening of one and three quarters of an inch long. I want to know if they will fit with what I have.Asked on 9/11/2009 by Dick from albrightsville penna.2 answers
