Comments about Abu Garcia® Ambassadeur® Record Baitcasting Reel:
I just purchased a few months ago and is durable. Drawback that bothers me is it's not as smooth reeling as my 5000, 5500 and 4600. For the price I'm just as well off with a 5500/5600 reel. I may have gotten a rare lemon, I'm not sure. sounds like it grinds a bit and is noisy.

Comments about Abu Garcia® Ambassadeur® Record Baitcasting Reel:
I have several Garcia C3 reels, they have always been my favorite. I don't think the C3 will have to take the backseat at this time, but the smoothness and durability of the Record reels could possibly change my thinking on future reel purchases. The Record is the real-deal, solid, durable, & I really like the looks of it.
Service and delivery comments:
The delivery on the reel was prompt, the reel was in mint condition.
I have not used customer service.

SwedenAnswered on 2/20/2013 by Keith from TexasA:
Made in Sweden, one of the few Garcia's that still is. Others will say "Engineered in Sweden" but they're made in China.Answered on 12/10/2009 by Jeffrey from Upper Michigan
