    First of all, you cant beat GORE-TEX:I have stuck my toe up to the laces in the pool for about 10 seconds, walked though puddles and wet grass intentionally and my feet never get wet. The heel gel really takes in the shock whenever you step. Lastly these shoes fit way small. I am normally a 11.5 but I had to jack it up to a 13 because 11.5 and 12were just too snug for my liking.

    PS: I would still get an athletic insert if you have arch problems however.
