The gas caddy was bigger than I expected even though I knew the size. It is easy to fill and fairly easy to transport over grass and hilly areas, but I have only filled it with 17 gallons. I'm sure that if it was full it would be more difficult to more, but what do you expect if the total weight is over 200 lbs. The gas caddy seems to be built well, although I would have liked some kind of indicator to tell you how much gas in in the caddy. I would recommend this unit as long as you can use the gravity feed or are willing to purchase the pump. Just be aware that it would take two strong people to lift this in and out of a pick-up if the unit was full of 29 gallons of gas. I fill the unit with gas using a 7 gallon container and then I wheel the caddy down to my boat which is on a lift. It works well and fills the boat relatively fast and you don't have to worry about supporting a container while filling the boat.

Worked well, but then had an issue where the rubber wheels rub against the plastic, which make it near impossible to pull. Relieving some of the pressure in the tank helps, but this is an obvious design flaw. I've e-mailed Moeller (tank manufacturer) to see what they will do. I love the tank, but I am disappointed that they ddin't design it better.

Comments about Tempo Products 29 Gallon Tempo Gas Walker:
I've had the caddy for about threes years. I was pretty happy at first, but then the gas caddy developed a leak where the fitting conncets to the tank. I don't know how to fix it. I tried taking the fitting out of the tank because it looks like the female fitting is moplded into the tank, but it was very difficult to move and I didn't want to break the tank.

Works very well, wouldn't want it any larger it would be too heavy. It does pump very slowly with gravity.

When you buy this fuel tank, consider the pump that is optional. I also use this to refuel my truck.

Not for someone who has back issues.
The hose will not wrap up on the space provided. I am the first person on my dock to get one and right now people see some of my frustrations.. Not sure I can sell any for you.

Comments about Tempo Products 29 Gallon Tempo Gas Walker:
I have a back injury so having this 29 gal gas walker avoids lugging all those 5 gal cans down to the dock and avoids all those associated gas spills which pollute the water.I have to negotiate 10 steps down to my dock, so I have extended the hose (by courtesy of [@] in Orlando) and can now leave the walker up at the higher level. Because of the extra head of pressure, I can fill my Nautique 200 in 4 / 5 minutes. The walker has a stop tap and breather system, which all assist easy fuelling.I can lift it empty into my truck, fill it at the gas station.Back home I slide it full onto my golf cart back platform and take it to the filling position above the dock, where I connect it to a static earthing stake (wire supplied) before filling the boat.A robust piece of kit, which does the job perfectly - Brilliant

Comments about Tempo Products 29 Gallon Tempo Gas Walker:
Although the caddy was easy to maneuver, the flow was a bit slow. Because of that, it really should have a gauge. But the convenience outweighs the time.

Comments about Tempo Products 29 Gallon Tempo Gas Walker:
Replaced the hose to 25' with hose quiqe connect so I don't have to drag it down my ramp to my floating dock. The unit stay high so fillup is very fast. The hose disconnect make it easy to take for refill to gas station. If you use it on your floating dock next to your Pwc or boat you will not be able to empty the tank.
It's expensive but wrote the money. It's a big tank, if you don't have a pickup truck don't even think about it.

Q:
Can the walker be transported full in a horizontal position? What is the White and Yellow things on the top?Asked on 6/24/2012 by Camp Bob2 answers
A:
The Yellow thing is just a warning label. The white thing is a sealed cap. If you buy the optional hand pump, the white cap is removed and the pump attaches at this location.Answered on 11/6/2012 by Tempo Tank User from Boston, MAA:
It is designed to be transported in the horizontal position. Behind the label/hose rack is a large round baffle molded into the plastic. The baffle keeps the fuel from sloshing around while transporting it. Just be sure to close the vent cap and stay out of the sun while you have it in the back of the truck!Answered on 11/6/2012 by Tempo Tank User from Boston, Ma
Q:
I like this tank and need a better way to fill my pontoon boat.. It is an older model and the gas cap is on the side of the boat. Pouring the gas in from 5 gal containers using a funnel is back breaking and messy. Unfortunately,a gravity fed system will not work as my boat sits higher than the dock. Is it possible to replace the nozzle hose with a longer hose, say 25 feet, so I could leave the tank on the pier(which is higher than the boat) rather than the floating dock? This would save me having to purchase the hand pump kit.Asked on 5/9/2012 by Anonymous from Salisbury, NC0 answers

Q:
Using the gravity feed, is it possible to fill a riding lawn mower with this tank sitting on the ground next to the mower or does it have to be elevated above the mower (such as sitting in the bed of a pickup)?Asked on 10/17/2010 by Erick from Hartford, CT1 answer
A:
some of the contents of the Walker will dispense but as the level of gasoline in the tank empties the pressure on the lower outlet will reduce. Once the pressure of the gasoline left in the tank balances with the pressure needed to drain the hose (more or less gravity) the remaining fuel will not drain. The short answer is approximately 2/3 of the tank or 20 gallons.Answered on 12/8/2010 by RLWeaver from California
Q:
CAN THE TANK BE FILLED IN THE HORIZONTAL POSITION?Asked on 6/6/2010 by FRANK from CANTON MICH3 answers
A:
Yes - I have done this often, just make sure you know how much fuel you start with in the tank and how much you are adding as it has a max fill of 110 liters to allow for expansion.Answered on 7/7/2012 by Randy from British ColumbiaA:
It is recommended that it be filled in the horizontal positionAnswered on 7/10/2012 by Kerry the new user from Marcellus, MIA:
I always fill it in the horitontal position. I think you are supposed to take it out of the truck to fill it though. There is a small grounding wire supplied with the tank, but I am not sure if that alows you to leave it in the truck bed.Answered on 11/6/2012 by Tempo Tank User from Boston, MA
Q:
Does it have a gauge so you can see how many gallons are being dispensed?Asked on 9/29/2009 by Sherry from Seneca, SC2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
No it does not, and there is not a gauge made for that purpose for this item.Answered on 10/6/2009 by OVERTON'S from TECHNICIANVERIFIED BUYER
A:
No, it doesn't have a gauge to indicate level. I'm not sure if you were to look through the unit in bright light if you could see the level of the fuel. The plastic looks pretty thick, so I don't imagine that you could, but next time I use the unit, I'll check it out.Answered on 6/21/2010 by Ron the Cannuck from Amherstburg, ON

Q:
How much does it weight empty and full?Asked on 6/30/2009 by Anonymous from Cumming, GA3 answers
A:
The unit empty weighs 45 lbs. I know because I have one for sale and just weighed it for shipping purposes. Well built fuel tank that is gravety fed.Answered on 12/31/2009 by Bill Saumier from Spring Valley, CAA:
29 GAL OF GAS AT ABOUT 7.4 LBS PER GAL. = ABOUT 215 LBS PLUS THE 45 LBS FOR THE TANK AND HOSE = ABOUT 260 LBS FULL. YOU CAN ONLY ROLL IT WHEN FULL.Answered on 6/6/2010 by FRANK X from CANTON MICHIGANA:
Full, the gas caddy weighs about 220 lbs.Answered on 6/21/2010 by Ron the Cannuck from ON

Q:
Does this product need to be held above the tank it is pumping into?Asked on 6/8/2009 by Juebaby from Alabama2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes. It is gravity fed but you can add the optional hand pump kit, item 75691.Answered on 6/9/2009 by Michael from OvertonsA:
Yes - the bottom valve must be higher than the tank you are pumping into. Also, make sure the vent is open so that air allows for flow.Answered on 7/7/2012 by Randy from British Columbia
