    I bought this strap to replace something of identical rating and length for my 7 year-old trailer. It installed OK, but this thick strap is twice as thick as my old smooth black strap, so it took up the entire winch spool and then some, extending slightly beyond the spool when fully wound. No way to cut it. Unfortunately, the factory installed bolt holding the winch to the winch post on my trailer shredded this strap on the very first use because the wound strap was larger than the spool. Now I need to start over with either a thinner strap or a new winch. [$] down the drain. $30-$100 more before it is right.

    this is a nylon strap and has stretch in it when new i put in on with my grandson siting on my 4wheeler riding the brakes this took some of the stretch out would not use tis strap on any smaller winch drums it would overfill drum any winch under 2600lb dose not need this heavy strap i have it on a 3700lb duel drive 2speed winch

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            This strap is very strong, but due to the thickness of the strap it will overfill the spool of your winch. Even if you put it on while adding tension it is too big. i'm ok with the thickness, but who really needs such a long strap?

                does not come with bolt but it should. i bought one at my local hardware store. just take old one with you even if you had to cut it out. they should be able to match it. make sure you get a grade 8 or stronger. tell them what it is for. good luck.

                This is the only color this particular winch strap comes in, but there are other ones that are black. Those are the two colors we have. This will have an eye to attach to a winch.

                The tensile strength is rated at 10,000lbs which is double the strength of our standard winch straps, so I would have to say yes, it is that much better than the standard straps. Our strongest cable has a capacity of 5600lbs test.
