Comments about Crosman .177 Benjamin Discovery & High Pressure Pump:
Best PGP on the market for the money! Very accurate and hard hitting on small game. I would recommend getting a scuba tank with the proper adapter to fill this PGP. If you shoot as much as I do, You will get really tired of using the hand pump. You can not go wrong with this pellet gun.

Comments about Crosman .177 Benjamin Discovery & High Pressure Pump:
It is not finished like a $1,000 rifle and nor should you expect it to be. It is a budget level PCP with enough power for pest control or small game hunting. It is not finished like a $1,000 rifle and nor should you expect it to be. And this kit includes everything you need. The hand pump works fine for this small PCP air gun. It is easy to fill to 2,000 psi and much easier to fill to 1700 psi.Only fill to 1700 psi, give or take 50 psi, for best accuracy. You can get more shots with more air; but the first shots will not be as accurate as those in after the pressure drops to 1700 psi. At 1700 psi you'll get a dozen pin point accurate shots before the gun needs a recharge. A 100 pound child can recharge this gun to 1700 psi. That same child may not have enough body mass to push down the pump for a 2,000 psi fill. Discovery air rifles shoot low out of the box. You'll have to ramp up the factory iron sights all the way to correct this issue. If you plan to use a scope this is not a concern. I have two Discovery rifles and they both have this issue. But it is really not a big deal… just a quirk worth noting. This platform can be easily modified to make it shoot better, faster, or slower. I prefer to make it shoot slower to get more pin point accurate shots at 12 fpe. As shipped it will deliver about 17-19fpe; depending on pellets used. Do not attempt any trigger modification unless you have a good understanding of how triggers work. An improper trigger modification can be very dangerous – meaning it could fire when bumped or even as you close the bolt. Study hard before doing this or buy a drop in upgrade from TKO. Be safe and enjoy this fine American built air gun.

Comments about Crosman .177 Benjamin Discovery & High Pressure Pump:
Benjamin/Crosman pump is a known concern, but for the package price it was basically free. The rifle itself is a great little gun.

NO. It can take smaller animals though such as rats, squirrels, birds, and maybe rabbits. If you want to hunt a boar or a coyote, then get a real gun.Answered on 10/18/2009 by johnyrocketfinger from ohio
Q:
I am considering the Benjamin Dual fuel rifle but I have read that the CO2 shoots slower than the air pumped with the high pressure pump. Can you explain? Also I would like to know if this rifle can be filled from a CO2 paintball tank, like a 20oz bottle?Asked on 8/4/2009 by Flywhel from Covington, VA2 answers
A:
just buy itAnswered on 10/11/2009 by bdg from barABOO WISCOSINA:
This rifle operates on 2000 psi of air. CO2 only produces 900 psi so it shoots faster with compressed air.Answered on 11/17/2009 by now you know from florida

Not that I am aware of. Check first with your local and state law enforcement before buying any airgun. Better safe than sorry. As far as Fed-Law I know of none. Again check with your state laws all states are different when it comes to gun laws.Answered on 7/12/2009 by DaveShooter from Xenia, Ohio
