I have, and so have some friends, tried other less exspensive brands found them to be inadiquate for even short periods in the field or unreliable. I have been using the same Tri-tronics EXP unit for at least 6 years and have had no trouble with it at all. Would highly recommend this product.

This was a great product to train a Lab and a Golden Retriever. If you use it properly you will get fast results. Never give a command first and correct for not obeying. You will ruin your dog. They will associate the command with correction. Read the manual! These are experts telling you how to do it correctly. My unit is 4 years old and haven't had to use it in 3 years. My dogs are trained.

I already owned a Tritronics Sport Basic G3 with one collar that I bought about 4 years ago. I was a little bit skeptical that a new collar would "mate" properly to my old unit. Imagine my surprise and satisfaction when it worked as advertised the first time! Great job, Tritronics! Keep up the good work!
