Product Description
gamo Hone your shooting skills with the all-steel GAMO USA Rocker Target Trap. Perfect for use with lead air gun pellets, this trap is best-suited for air guns with muzzle velocity of less than 750 fps. This five-plate unit has an easy resetting feature. Simply hit the plates on either side of the center plate and they will be held in place out of view till the center plate is hit. When the center plate is struck, the five plates will automatically reset for uninterrupted shooting practice. For lead pellets up to 1,000 fps only! Do not use BBs or PBAs. Always use appropriate ear and eye protection and make sure your range has a secure and reliable backstop. 6.5"H x 8"W x 6.5"D. Weighs 5 lbs. 30-day warranty.

        Great trap, would be nice to be able to use with harder pellets (non-lead pellets should not be used do to potential ricochet back at user) but overall good trap for teaching young boys to shoot accurately.

                    When new you may have to hand reset the targets as the reset action is stiff. This looks like it will last for years if you follow directions and not use high powered rifles with it.

                          There is no required distance for using this target. However, the gun must have a muzzle velocity of less than 750 fps and you can only shoot lead pellets at this target.

                          I would not recommend it. 800 fps in a .22 caliber air rifle has more energy than a 0.177 caliber pellet at 750 fps. There is an excellent chance you'll shoot through the back of the trap.

                          For your rifle, I would recommend an actual "bullet trap" that is suitable for 0.17 and 0.22 caliber rimfire firearms.

                          A:

                          Most BB's are coated and are steel. As a result of this they may ricochet back at the shooter instead of going into the trap. It is for lead pellets only because lead is soft and will absorb the energy and fall in the trap.
