A:One end of the strap will have a loop that you wrap around the bimini top frame and then pass the clip end through the loop to secure the strap to the bimini top frame.
If you go to the 1:10 time on this video you can see how the strap loops around the frame.
The clip end will be the end that attaches to the deck of the boat when you have the top in the up position.Answered on 6/6/2014 by Product Expert from Overtons

A:I'm the guy that asked the question. Since the response from overton's was that the slide was metal, I ordered it. I received the part today.
