Great for a beginner. Speed can be greatly reduced. They stay on even during a fall.

Comments about Barefoot International Foot Skis:

Even with the adjustment, my heel still hung 2" off the back of the shoe. I'm a size 9/10 men's which isn't that big. The padding that prevented the shoe from falling off on the top off of the foot dug unevenly over the foot giving it a sharp pain with any movement. This might work for children, but is DEFINITELY NOT FOR ADULT size feet. The shipping and return process was very fast though.

What speed would be enough to get up on these skis? How would it compare to real barefoot? Thanks!

Haven't tried these, but, have used others. Can go quite slow.
25-28. Doesn't compare to real barefoot when you have the water rushing on your feet. but, fun none the less. I would give it a try.
