The award winning SmartFind Plus has an internal 12-channel GPS receiver that continually updates position information to the EPIRB. The SmartFind Plus transmits lat/lon position information every 20 minutes as allowed by COSPAS/SARSAT on the newest 406.028 MHz frequency. All digital circuitry and an LED strobe light along with a nonhazmat battery sets this unit apart. The EPIRB weighs a mere 1.5 lbs. making it the smallest, lightest GPS EPIRB available. Five-year battery life with a minimum of 48 hours of transmit time at -20°C. Category II manual release bracket. Five-year warranty.
