Product Description
camco Winterize your inboard/outboard marine engines right on the trailer. This do-it-yourself kit makes it quick and easy to flush and prepare your engine for winter storage. This gravity flow system includes a 5-gal. antifreeze tank with on/off valve, a ball valve, winterizing tee, and 8' clear hose with fittings. All you need to add is your flusher and antifreeze (not included).

    I'm not a mechanic but wanted to avoid having to pay a few hundred bucks to winterize my boat. This kit was very straight-forward and easy to use. I used it to winterize my Bayliner 185 and the process could not have been simpler. The best part is that I'll already have this kit when it is time to winterize the boat again next year. All that I'll have to buy next year for the winterization is more RV anti-freeze! Definitely get this kit. By the time you bought a hose, container, valves, couplers etc. you'd most likely meet or exceed the cost of this excellent all-in-one kit. Don't forget to buy the flusher muffs though if you don't already own a pair.

              Easy to use. Very easy and simple instructions. This is the only product I have found on the market that allows you to run your engine, allowing it reach operating temps., and then you can add your antifreeze. This took all of 20 minutes, from setup, to completing the process. Fast and easy. The only problem I had, was the seam in the handle leaked a little, but it was no major problem.

                          It should. However, if your OMC is a Volvo/Penta, you will need to build an adapter to connect the "garden hose end fitting" which goes to the standard connection on muffs to the cooling water hose (1") going into the engine. I built mine with a 12" piece of clear 1" hose, a female hose end fitting, and a hose clamp. Cost about $8 got the parts at the farm/hardware store.

                          fill the tank with antifreeze, connect hose to yellow shutoff valve, connect clear hose to rabbit ears on water intake. Open yellow shutoff valve, keep red shutoff valve closed. Turn on water and start engine. Idle engine until it comes up to temperature. Open red shutoff valve and close yellow shutoff valve. Run until you see antifreeze come out exhaust or until tank is empty. I saw antifreeze out exhaust well before tank was empty. Follow your manufacturer's procedures for winterizing.
