I have installed this on my 27ft 250 hp Tri-toon operating in Tampa Bay.
I installed the remote control and after 4 months everything is working fine. Due to the salt water environment I packed the winch with grease since no SS option is offered.
Great Things: 1) Value 2) It has the power to reel in my boat against the wind and tide. 3) Wife complains less about her anchor handling duties.
Not so Great: 1) I replaced the anchor rode because the one supplied looks weak and cheap. 2) I mounted the winch on a channel section and added a battery switch to isolate from my batteries 3) I lengthened the wires to the light, and to the manual switch otherwise it is VERY difficult to disconnect and remove plastic cover. Why couldn't they make these wires 6 inches longer?? Grrr. 4)I replaced the 4 small screws securing the cover with long machine screws and nylock nuts that are easy to get started and removed. I anticipate the need to easily take the cover off the winch and the current design is very poor.

Comments about Trac Big Water 45 Anchor Winch:
Product as described,,very straight forward installation,,excellant instructions. Installed this on a recently purchased 22ft pontoon boat,,,have not had an opportunity to place in service, other than the simple operating of it after installation. Due to the carpeting on the ponton boat and the way the plastic cover is flush fit at the bottom of the motor housing, I did have to re-drill the mounting holes lower aprox 1/4 inch, but not big issue,,afterthought I could have placed large washers under the motor housing to somewhat shim it up,,but installation was still pretty simple.

Comments about Trac Big Water 45 Anchor Winch:
I use this product to anchor my 24 foot Harris Pontoon. It works great. That is definitely the positive. However, the negative is the design is very poor. If the MFG would have made the base just slightly larger, the mounting would have been much easier. The existing design prohibits using a socket wrench to hold the bolts!!!
