Q:the manual says not to use a accumulator with this pump, but the boat came with one. it now pumps as soon as you open up the faucet, were it didn't before. i was going to pressure up the accumulator, is that going to damage the pump?Asked on 8/11/2015 by airgar from chicago
Bypass Type of pumps come with an Internal Bypass Valve on the Discharge Side of the pump which would allow the Pump to run against a Closed or Partially Closed Discharge and not be damage. But with the 4405-Series pump it is an on demand type of pump with a Bypass Valve on the Discharge side works differently in this case what it does is absorb the normal pulsation that you get in Diaphragm type of pumps, but when you have an Accumulator Tank which does the same as this bypass valve, in this what will happen they both will fight each other and cause a Water Hammer effect and will ultimately cause the pump to fail.

Q:My Pump comes on as I open a faucet and turns off when the faucet is turned off. The cut in pressure and cut off pressure adjustment seem to be the same, or could there be something else going on? Is it possible to readjust the pressure settings?Asked on 6/9/2015 by Captn Brad from Seattle, WA
A:Thank you for your question. Pressure settings are controlled by the pressure switch, which to my knowledge, it not user adjustable.Answered on 6/12/2015 by Anonymous

Q:Could I use this in a 500 gallon tank and plumb it to my water main? Would the pump turn on/off when I open/close a faucet?Asked on 4/27/2015 by Gavin from Ohio
Yes. You can plumb this FloJet into your water main and it will function when the faucet is turned on. If the pump "knocks"/vibrates and the pressure is too low, then you may have to add a accumulator tank.

Q:FloJet 4405 143 Quiet Quad Water System Pump with Bypass by Flojet
I need a pump to deliver tank/bottle water to a refrigerator (ice maker and water spigot). If my tank runs empty will this pump shut off when dry?
Drew G.Asked on 4/20/2015 by Drew from Buffalo,Ny
A:Thank you for your question.
Pump turns off and on with outlet pressure---so it will still run once the supply is empty as long as the outlet demand is still there.Answered on 4/20/2015 by Anonymous
