This installed fairly easily. Works great, makes the doors on the pontoon much more secure especially with young children aboard. No worry about the door accidently swinging open. The downside is that the plastic part of the latch that slides the bar broke off so now we just have the bar and no way to slide it. Wish that the entire sliding part was metal. Will probably order another one because it works so well but I think this item is overpriced.

Haven't installed it yet but looks like it will do the job. Using it to lock handicapped accessible ramp on my pontoon.

I installed these latches after a lot of measuring and re-drilling. Like all the other reviews, the handle broke. [...] It should be all metal!

Please do not waste your time. Very difficult to install on 1 1/4" rails and lasted all of 1 month. The handle broke off. Dear Overton's: you know you can find a better design and more durable product. Please do so. thanks! ssp

Used to latch the front gate on the pontoon. It was hard to install. The plastic tubing that goes through the aluminum is an 11/64" hole and requires a special drill. No directions included. Its not worth the trouble if you can find something else that works for you buy that!
