We use this for campfires. Having a solid lid pushes the heat out the sides...much better than most campground pits.
Wish it were a little bigger around....most cut wood is too long.
Worst fault...plastic leg connectors melted off the first time we used it...shouldn't have any plastic...fire is hot!!
