The Deluxe Rear Cargo Carrier has a heavy-duty 59.5" x 19.5" steel mesh platform that is built to hold up to 500 lbs. of cargo. The steel fold-up side cage ensures items stay put during long hauls. Mounts on vehicles with a 1-1/4" or 2" receiver hitch. Powder-coated for rust resistance. Includes stretchable cargo net and fitted, waterproof nylon cover. Weighs 51 lbs.

    We were familar with this product as a relative borrowed one for a trip. Made it from FL to PA - no problem. Frees up lots of space in the trunk. Opens easily with hatch back. The vinyl cover is exceptionally thick and velcro closures. You can use with the cover also. Really nice product and can't wait to use it for a trip. Recommended!

        People who complained about the instructions must not had been a guy because if you are a guy you don't need instructions. So give them a pitch and just start to line up the parts and go by the picture on the box and your done in 30 minutes. Every thing lined up perfect just don't tighten up the bolts until you HAVE everything connected and then go to town. If you ever put a kids bike together this thing is a breeze to do.

            Out of the box, ready to go. Minimal assembly. Kids and I had it on my car in a few minutes. Plenty of room for all three of them (not that I'd drive with them in it).

            Carrier holds all of our lake gear: Tube, 2 sets of skis, 5 life jackets, tow ropes, cooler, and there's plenty of room left over. Great to have all that wet, lake stuff OUTSIDE the car!
