Smooth and Easy!

For the money this is one of the lightest paddles I have found. I have used my Whisper on the rivers and lakes of MN and WI...it has held up very well.

Comments about Bending Branches Whisper Paddle - 90.6" (230 cm):

On an extremely low river day on the Rappahannock, we broke 3 blades on our cheaper paddles - the blades were make of plastic. 2 snapped 1/2 way, one snapped clean off. THIS paddle, made with "Fiberglass Reinforced Polypropylene" blades survived the day and saved the trip. I've bought my last plastic headed paddle. Thank you "Bending Branches"!

This paddle is great for kayaking on flat water. It is light so it doesn't wear you out and the paddle design helps a lot in shallow water. My wife and I have done 10+ hour days with no problem. It is well worth a few extra dollars versus the cheapest paddle you can find.

We own two of these. I couldn't be any happier with them. After nearly 500 miles (river, lake , streams) the only minor issue i've had is one of them developing a minor crack near the angle adjustment button.[...] I have no doubts i will purchase another Bending branches paddle next time i need another one.

how do i select the right length of paddle, for touring
                Asked on 4/1/2010 by Don

                1 answer

                • A:

it depends on your arm length and kayak width, and on your intended use. for touring you probably paddle pretty low, and intend to paddle for long periods of time. a longer paddle, with a longer, narrower head SHOULD (the narrow head gives you less tension on your arms when you paddle, so you can get a pattern going and paddle for long periods of time) be a good choice.

this being said, its a matter of preference. start with something inexpensive, figure out what you like, and get something a little better once you know what you need
