Comments about Gerber® Big Rock Hunting Knife:
I always prefer a knife with both serrated and fine edge like this one, but as for the size of this one it's a great outdoors knife. I was looking for something i could carry (which I still will carry this one) but it is a bit bulky. i love how fat the blad is. The grip is awesome. It feels like its all rubber. From the edge of the blade to the top its about 1.5 inches. Length of the blade is around 4.5 inches. IT has good balance. Very sturdy. Wouldn't hurt to sharpen it the first time you get it just to be sure, but it is sharp straight from the factory. I wouldn't buy it online. I would go to the store so you can see it for yourself. Most of the time it costs the same in the store that it does online. [...]Overall, easily worth it's money. Enjoy.

Comments about Gerber® Big Rock Hunting Knife:
Gerber has made quaility blades for a long time. This knife wasn't a suprise to me. Very light weight for size with a very comforatble grip. I bought as a gift for my 12 year old nephew. The grip and weight were perfect for now and to grow with.

Comments about Gerber® Big Rock Hunting Knife:
Excellent knife, i use it for everything, i camp out alot and use my knife for cutting wood and killing prey to eat. I skin fish and use it as a hammer, it can take a beating and still be very sharp and still looks new after a year of abuse, very comfortable handle and just a pleasure to own

Gerber blades have held up very well in the past. This one went though deer very easily and kept its edge even though it clipped a few bones.Answered on 12/9/2010 by Chill from Lancaster, Pa
