I ordered this knife as an addition to my knife collection. The Gerber Mark 2 is a unique knife and was a must have. There is a lot of history behind this knife. The knife has its own individual serial number as well.

Comments about Gerber® Mark II™ Knife:
Carried one with me in my Aircrewman's survival vest (back in the day), factory edge still (20 yrs later)shaves hair from arm. Magnificent, durable, well-designed blade. One does have to be careful with it, as it's much more a weapon, than tool. Still rides on my web gear.
Pros

- Stays Sharp
Cons
Best Uses
- Combat
Comments about Gerber® Mark II™ Knife:
Styled after the WWII British Sykes-Fairbourne knife, this is one of the best combat knives ever designed. It is a classic double-edged dagger with a unique twist. The knife is designed to cut both when inserting and removing the blade.
