This is a very high quality slit-foam fly box at less than half the cost of most similar boxes. I have six of them and will purchase more as I need them.

The only thing you need to consider is if you can be happy with it if you have to take out the center insert to keep from smashing flies. For tiny dry flies and most nymphs, it will work fine with the insert. For larger flies, the center insert must be removed or it will smash the hackles and wings. I don't regard this as a defect -- just something you need to know before you buy.

This box appears to be very well made but is too small for anything but very small dry flys.

Other reviewers have mentioned that it crushes the feathers on flies, and I can see it might. But for ice fishing jigs it's perfect, and that's why I got it. Strong and well made. Seems expensive, but I'm happy with it.

This box holds flies in place very securely. Great for smaller #18 and smaller flies. Gander Mountain had a great price on it.
