Comments about Tie Down Engineering Tie Down Mate:

The Tie Down Mate is great. I had been using grappelling anchors that would shift and move. This screws into the sand and has a surprising amount of holding power. I could probably pull it out if I really, really tired, but with my 17' Bayliner hooked to an Anchor Buddy, it did not budge even when hit with moderate waves. I have recommended this to everyone I know.

Paired with an Anchor Buddy, you are all set. Very easy to use, excellent holding power, and when you are ready to go, just unscrew it and roll.

I use this with a ski buoy to tie down my 18 ft ski boat in coves. Holds great. I use it all day with no problems.

Comments about Tie Down Engineering Tie Down Mate:

I really liked this product. Worked well in sand. For tying to the dock however, we use the super rope cinch. Having both is perfect. We also used the super rope cinch to tie our pwc to the dock, and also to adjust the boat fender height. I would recommend having both products to cover all boating applications. [@] is where I bought them.

I use it to tie my boat down in shallow water. It works great. Probably better than if the sand was dry.
