This antenna seems to have a defective cable or possibly a connector that would not work with the Dual MXDM70 stereo that i ordered at the same time. I ended up using the cable from the old antenna and the new lovely white mast. I had returned it once due to it's ineffectiveness and decided to keep the parts that worked mostly for appearance sake and because I did not want to bother with returning it again.

Best $10 product we bought for the pontoon in awhile. Our pontoon is on a lake that was in a dead zone of radio reception 90 minutes North of Minneapolis. We got two stations. Now after upgrading to this antenna, we get more stations than my truck. Sturdy but flexible plastic design looks like it will last. Highly recommended.

This antenna mounts to a flat surface, and requires that you drill a small hole to install the antenna.

Drill a hole----top of antenna sits in the drilled hole, then you thread a locking nut and washer up from the bottom.

I simply plugged it into radio, and used zip strips to attach to other wiring under the dash. One could also drill a hole and mount it on deck but it then would be visible, and the color issue would come into play.
