Q:Will this lift REALLY lift a 3 seater? I want to purchase one, but I don't want to throw away nearly $1000. I plan on putting it in a boathouse about 18 inches above the water.Asked on 10/10/2010 by Sunny from Washington
A:Absolutely. My ski is 2003 Yamaha XLT 800 (710 lbs dry weight - Three seat, two-cycle two cylinder) and 18 inches above water is within tolerance. But be forewarned: lubricate the rollers within the rail sleeve or you will be out of breath while winding. The winch will indeed drag that ski out of the lake. Best wishes. Q:How exactly does this lift operate? And how is it attached to the dock? Thanks.Asked on 5/7/2009 by Anonymous
A:The PWC sits on a cradle similar to bunks on a trailer. The cradle rides on rollers that are mounted to a frame which is mounted to your dock. The cradle pivots as the PWC is raised or lowered using the hand winch. The Jet Rail can be mounted to your dock using thru bolts.Answered on 5/12/2009 by merchandiser from Overtons
