Product Description
hella_marine This small, keyed battery switch helps protect your battery and your personal watercraft from unwanted use. This seawater-proof switch can be mounted inside or outside the engine compartment and connected to the positive or negative cable. The key can only be removed in the "off" position. Base: 2-1/4" dia.; neck: 7/8" dia. Max. load: 100 amps. 12V.

Read one of your reviews that said it was hard to install, NOT TRUE, also that it was not compatible for a PWC, again, NOT TRUE. We opened the glove box and put it inside. When we want to ride we just switch in on, after our ride, switch it off. Perfect! Thanks again for a great product.

I bought this for my Yamaha XL800 (because it was on the catalog page with the other PWC items) but I couldn't find anyplace to mount it. It isn't designed specifically for PWCs. It is designed to be mounted through a wall of some sort. I'm certainly not going to mount it through the side of the ski and there's really no other place to put it. I returned the switch.

    Got this for my wave runner because my battery was being drained while sitting at the dock.Installed easily ...works great ! Only suggestion would be a cutting template.Dont cut a round hole.

    The switch is perfectly functional. However it was described as a PWC device. The terminals were too large to use with the standard battery connectors. It required replacement of the battery cable ends in order to connect to the switch. Also for PWC the switch is large and protrudes out a long way. An installation place must be found where the switch is not a hazard to the rider. Specifically his legs. [...]

    I did have one that was just like this on a boat I traded and it was great but for some reason this one did not make contack on my first mounting so after remounting it it is now working but somewhat worried that it could fail as it did at first

        If we could, it would be special ordered and it would be as expensive if not more expensive then the above item.

        I use this on a race car for saving battery ony when not in use. I lost both keys over time so I went out bought another one and those keys fit both. For the $19 bucks it was better than trying to hunt down a key. You can also check with Strauss auto if you have one of these stores in you area, Im almost sure they sell this unit. As for spare keys, well I could not find one in time to use my car.
