Nice tank excellent overall construction, but all the hose fittings are mounted dead center which makes it nearly impossible to hook up hoses that have to go to one side or the other. They really need to mount the fittings on one side of the tank, just like every other fuel tank on the market...I ended up returning mine for a more convetional set-up with side mounted fittings...

Replaced old metal tank. Fit in same location, did not need to modify anything! Feels great to have non-rustable, durable tank, that will last for years!

the tank is great but the hardware like fill tube
and inlets are in the center of the tank and need to be mounted on the side like the other tanks

most gas fillers are on the outside of boat on one side or the other

Strong construction, easy to install. The fuel sender unit works good and is accurate. Nice tank. Remember to cover the tank when welding near it, the splatter can melt the tank. Tank could use to easy bolt down mounting points to make it perfect

              • Q:

Can you reconcile the dimensions given to the picture of the tank? There are two widths listed; I assume that they are lengths of the two parallel sides of the trapezoid, correct? Which is the height (bottom to top)? What is the depth (distance from the longest side of the trapezoid to the shorter parallel side across from it)?
Asked on 1/28/2011 by Dion from Hillsboro, OR

                1 answer

                • A:

Correct, the two parallel sides are 18" wide and 32" wide. The distance between the two parallel sides is 20.75" and the tank is 12.06" deep (tall).

Can this tank be hooked up to an outboard with the same setup as a portable tank, with the squeeze bulb? Or do I need to hook up a seperate fuel pump for pressure?

This tank can be used with either set up. The withdrawal assembly should work with either method.
