I have a 1989 Quicksilver box and the ignition bolts in from the rear of the box. It has old school 6 pin with soldered wires to the back of ignition. There is more wires then 6 wires attached to the back of the ignition. It has a on/off and push for choke. Will this unit work for my application? Thanks

                          Hello James,

Yes. This is the correct ignition switch but I do not understand why you have so many additional wires.

                          Thank you,
                          Steve

This is a replacement for Mercury control box switches. This should work for you if your switch is mounted in the control (throttle) box.
