Comments about MPI Products Hardwall 1" Water Hose, per foot:
I used this to replace deteriorating hoses on a Mastercraft ballast system. This is a stiff hose that will not collapse on the suction side of things..good for discharge too.Somewhat smooth interior seals good.Hose would not be good for making right angles without the proper fittings as it is stiff and wire reinforced.

Q:
If I want to order 8 feet of this hose, would I enter 8 in the Quantity box or is there another option that asks how long I want it to be that I'm not seeing.
Thanks!Asked on 6/4/2012 by Anonymous0 answers
Q:
How do you get this over the end of a hose barb? The wire keeps it from expanding.Asked on 7/8/2009 by gizmoe from Simpsonville, SC2 answers

A:
If you are talking about the hose clamp wire then you have to take that off from around the hose before attaching the hose to the hose barb. I apologize if this is not what you are referring to. I am not sure that I understand the question in that case, and you should contact our technical department at 1-888-683-7866 to talk this over with us.Answered on 2/8/2010 by Justin from Overton'sA:
You lube up the hose end with silicone or teflon spray and push very hard while wiggling the hose towards the barbed fitting.
You can also use some type of sealant like "belt dressing", 3M 4000 or even 5200, silicone or gasket maker to aid in the installation and sealing of the hose although 5200 is very messy if you are not very carefull.(Tip; use WD40 or brake clean for easy clean up)
