I clean my pontoons (logs) every fall before storage. I spray on the logs/intructions & use a powerweasher to rinse off. My wife follows up with a scrubby and degreeser. Whala!! Perfectly beautiful. Note: I keep my pontoon in fresh water all summer. It gets pretty slimmy, etc. The only thing I worry about is that the sprayer holds up. I can use the same container for 2 yrs.

I just received this in the mail today, diluted it in a dollar store spray bottle half the toon brite & water to the top of the bottle or less, sprayed it on & it foamed up and seemed to eat some of the dry gunk off but whan I sprayed it off the toon was white, not new and shiny like all the raves I read about on here, I am very upset, this stuff ruined the look of my boat, thanks soooooo much

Comments about Toon-brite Aluminum Pontoon and Aluminum Boat Cleaner, quart:
Just pulled my 22 ft pontoon boat out of the water to store for the winter. Sprayed Toon Brite cleaner on per directions, let it sit 15 mins, then used a power spray to wash away all the algae and grime. It all came off without any scrubbing. Do make sure you wear gloves, eye protection and a dust mask. It's pretty strong stuff. Will need to use the polish to get the aluminum silver shine back, but I'm happy that all is clean.

Would of gave it a 4 star if the spray nozzle it came with worked properly. I didn't have a back sprayer. I tried to make it work but made it streaky. Have to redo in the spring

Comments about Toon-brite Aluminum Pontoon and Aluminum Boat Cleaner, quart:
I ordered this based on the majority of the good reviews about the product and I was not disappointed with it. If you follow the directions, be patient and let it work, you too will not be disappointed. You must 1. apply without direct sunlight in shaded area 2. apply even amounts side to side 3. let it work for 5-10 minutes before you wash off. If you have heavy concentrated lake water scum at the water line as I did, use higher concentration on that area, don't dillute to 50/50.
I had been concerned about negative reviews regarding the spray trigger mechanism giving out, the must have improved it because it work great and worked better than any other spray bottle I have ever used, I even saved it for future applications of this product. I give this high marks.

Comments about Toon-brite Aluminum Pontoon and Aluminum Boat Cleaner, quart:
My pontoons were oxidized pretty badly. Toon-brite did a great job removing that and making the aluminum nice and bright. One bottle covered the pontoons with some left over. I was slightly overcome by the fumes of the product. I still have more work to do to bring the finish up to where I want it.

Comments about Toon-brite Aluminum Pontoon and Aluminum Boat Cleaner, quart:
This product worked very well....have to mix it according to directions, do not try to mix it weak. Must start from bottom and really saturate pontoon fromm bottom - up until it foams completely. I used Shark Skin afterwards and looked great. Ensure pontoons are completly dry and clean before adding S/S. Use clean baby diaper or t-shirt to apply and apply evenly!

I used it strictly on silver aluminum. That's its recommended use. If it's painted, I would avoid it. If it's just exposed/silver aluminum, I would go for it. it really eats through all the algae.Answered on 6/16/2012 by Becky from Forty Fort, PA
