          after getting caught on a night with no horizon, and a missed GPS waypoint setting, I found out my old compass would not work unless it was close to level. This one works all the time, anytime. The light is easy to read at night, without messing up your nightvision. This isn't just good for the money...I don't know why anyone would bother to pay more for anything else.
