A:You will need to double your owners manual for your specific application because these can differ. The ones that we sell are coded as follows: Red is connected to the battery, Black is the magneto ground, Yellow with the red stripe is for the solenoid, Purple wire is the ignition, Purple with white stripe is to the accessory, Black with the yellow stripe is the magneto (not to be confused with the magneto ground), Yellow with the black stripe is the choke.Answered on 3/10/2011 by Justin from Overton's
