Should always have a spare plug in the boat just in case: forgetfulness, vandals, poor installation. Fits just fine

This is an inexpensive, but good quality plug. If you've ever watched one tumble into a lake, you'd want this tucked away as a spare.

Change out those cheap thumb plugs with a bronze thru hull threaded plug. Keep a couple of these spares around for the same reason you have 2 or three thumb plugs.
