Product Description

This quick-flushing unit fits most standard outboards and I/Os with a side inlet vent. Installs in seconds with an ordinary garden hose. No tools required. Lengthens engine life by flushing out salt, sand, and corrosive chemicals in minutes. This flusher works with 200, 250, 270, 280, and 290 Horsepower Volvo Engines from 1969 to present. All other Volvo's need to use the rectangular motor flusher, item 23809.

I bought this for a 2000 volvo penta outdrive and it is too small to cover the intake holes. I had to return it [...] I spent [$] for nothing. Overton needs to put in the description that it doesn't fit volvo penta outdrives.

Ordered this part eventhough description said it will work with 270 horsepower drives. Found out the hard way it does not fit the SX drive.

water intake holes are near the front of the drive
not back on the sides like others?
