I bought this as a gift for my husband. He loves the Lake and his old knee board snapped in half. He absolutely loves this board. Our daughter, who is not experienced with kneeboards tried it and did amazingly. The one thing my husband loves is the strap. If your an experienced kneeboarder or a beginner, this is the board for you. Not only is it durable and easy to use, the price was not to bad either!

Overtons recommended this board to me. (I'm over 6' and 210 lbs.) On the plus side, the board is comfortable, launches easily and the strap is plenty long and wide to accommodate larger users. On the negative side (at least for me), the board is really a beginners board, as the grooves in the bottom provide very little control or response. I was replacing my old board of 20 years and really expected better performance.

Comments about O'Brien O'Brien Black Magic Kneeboard:
the hook makes it super easy to get up but it is hard to carve with. the fins do help but seems like they'll eventually break. water does get in through the fin slots but is easy to drain out. foam cushion was very comfortable. great for beginners but lacks a little for the more experienced.

Comments about O'Brien O'Brien Black Magic Kneeboard:
Bought it for my son for his birthday. After the first day of use by 9 year olds, the stickers are peeling off and the cushion is pulling away from the fiberglass. I am hopeful but cautiously optimistic a replacement board will have better quality. As of now, I am disappointed in O'Brien for their quality control.

Worked great pulling both novice and intermediate level users. I like both the hook and the retractable fins.
