We love our Searock. We have used the seat twice on the boat and under our breezway. On the boat we store it in the center console while underway. It fits easily there with room to spare. When we get to a stopping point we set it up for the baby- 6 1/2 months old when she first used it. We feed her in it and she swings herself to a nap. It's great to get the baby out of your arms for a bit so she can catch a breeze while being protected from the sun under the T-top.
We have to adjust the knots a little each time to recline or sit up straight depending on if she's eating or napping. Not hard to adjust- a little adjustment goes a LONG way.
Wish the tray was completely removable.
Great quality materials.

I don't know about you, but the safety of my children is a top priority. With that being the case I would not recommend this product to anyone because of my concerns regarding safety and overall quality.
I received this as a Father's Day present. When I went to strap my son in it to see how he liked it, one of the latches from the safety harness broke. This was the first time it was used! The five point harness is there to provide safety for my child. The fact one of the latches broke during the first use is extremely concerning. With it breaking on the first use, I have to question the longevity of this product. Will it stand up to long time use?
I wish there was someone else out there offering a similar product that was quality built.

Comments about SearocK Baby Boat Seat:
My twin boys love this. It's a little heavier then i expected, but works good on my pontoon. The chair is water proof as it is plastic.

Comments about SearocK Baby Boat Seat:
We use this for our 5 month old daughter on our 18' center console with T-tops and it works like a charm! The baby was perfectly happy in the seat because she was up above the leaning post and could see us versus sitting in her carseat on the floor of the boat staring at the gunwale. Having her in the seat allowed us to have free hands to swim/float near the boat, eat lunch, etc. The harness to buckle her in the seat was very secure so I will have no worries about her being able to get out of the seat as she gets bigger and more mobile.

Comments about SearocK Baby Boat Seat:
Love the seat. For its price it lasts forever....amortizing the cost over +5 years of peaceful summers for growing kids well worth it! Have it on our front porch in North Carolina and swings naturally in the breeze coming off the water. Get a lot of comments about it from friends as well. This is now my "go to" baby gift for friends expecting and a unique change up to the standard fare.

Q:
DO you have a max weight limit for use of this device( as car seats do)?Asked on 11/15/2010 by mindy from williamsport pa2 answers
A:
If they can fit in it, they can sit in it. Such durable contruction that weight limit would not be an issue.Answered on 7/5/2011 by Father of 2 from Wrightsville Beach, NCA:

Q:
if your boat were to sink how would this product detach from the boat and will it float after dettachment?Asked on 8/30/2010 by mom of water bug children from Georgia1 answer
A:
The seat would not detach from the boat if your boat were to sink, nor will it float. It is not designed as a "safety device", but rather an item to keep a baby comfortable and allow mom and dad to have some hands free time while relaxing on or near the boat while it is anchored or grounded. It's the same idea as a Graco baby swing you may have in your house, only for a boat. The Graco swing wouldn't save the baby if your house caught on fire. As always, parental supervision is part of the deal.Answered on 7/11/2011 by GatorForester from Greenville, NC
