Comments about Barefoot International Seipel Barefoot Drysuit:

I am 6'4" and weigh 190 lbs. I was nervious about finding a drysuit that would be long enough and still fit my "pencil neck." So far I have not been disappointed (I ordered an XL). The drysuit fits well. The material feel much more durable than other drysuits I have look at. The seals fit tight, which is helpful in keeping water out, but it makes getting it on and off a little challenging. Fortunately my buddies and I each have a drysuit so we don't have to change in and out of the drysuit. I look forward to ridding year round!

Comments about Barefoot International Seipel Barefoot Drysuit:

Have used this basic design since the early 1980's. This latest version has better upgrades and quality materials. To ease getting in and out of the ankle and wrist seals, I sprinkle a little baby powder on me before putting on. When water temps are high 40'sF or in the 50'sF, I wear my sweat clothes and can enjoy a slalom run. There's no leaks, no binding, no feeling of extra weight, and lots of flexibility. Love this suit (!) to ski early and late in the season.

Comments about Barefoot International Seipel Barefoot Drysuit:

I have been using these suits since 1988. Take care of your seals with silicon and wax your zipper every time you put it away and it will last for many years. Seals are easy to send for replacement if you tear one. Some other suits have softer materials but for footing this is a tough suit. Some suits use velcro overlay seals that are smoother and easier to close.

Comments about Barefoot International Seipel Barefoot Drysuit:

Only con is the ankle seals are hard to remove after skiing. All the seals are double the thickness of regular drysuits which is good. I usually have to use slime or shampoo to remove the ankle seals. Does keep you dry even going backwards deep water starts.

It is great for barefoot skiing, so I would assume that you could surf with this on as well. Barefoot skiing requires a lot of free range of motion as does surfing so I would say yes. You could try it out and see if you like it, and return it in restockable condition if you didn't like it.
