We bought the product to help pull a large triangle shaped three person inflatable ride. The nose of the ride likes to dip under the water when the boat is trying to get on plane. The booster ball really helps keep the rope above the water getting on plane and when making turns.

Product may work with most boats, but not too good on mine. 22' Seadoo Islandia (jet propulsion), kind of throws up a strange wake. Ball tended to stay outside of wake, and spun a lot, twisting the rope. Actually got as much splash from the ball when it was inside the wake as from the tow line if we weren't using one.

Comments about SportsStuff Booster Ball:
It keeps the tow rope out of the water just like it says it will. So, less spray on the riders in the tube and the tube is not always filling with water. The kids enjoy tubing much more than before.

Comments about SportsStuff Booster Ball:
We bought this because when we pulled a tube behind our 23ft jetboat, the rope would get sucked under the water and the tube would violently whip suddenly.
Since using this product, it's never happened again. Well worth the money.

When pulling my kids on a tube - the rope kept cutting into the water preventing the rider from breaking the wake. This solved that problem. Looks a little funny pulling it but it works

I have a pontoon with a 90hp engine. Pull my kids on tubes and kneeboards. We had problems getting them over the wake. The booster works great for the tube, but not for the kneeboard.

Q:
Can this be used behind a jet ski?Asked on 8/8/2012 by Ted0 answers
Q:
I have a 3 person airglide that tows in both directions. Problem I am having, when we try chariot style towing, air glide submarines. I feel this is due to the low hook up on our boat off of the swim platform it is very close to water line. Would this product fix the problem or do I need a different fix?Asked on 7/5/2012 by MT Pockets JR from Chain of Lakes Boater2 answers
A:
Submerging towables are an issue of under inflation. This product will not solve the problem of a submarining towable. You need to do the inflation test to make sure that your towable is inflated fully. The test is that after you think it is fully inflated, you stand on it and if you sink farther than an inch, it is under infalted. Electric inflators usually fill a tube up to 85%-90% inflated. To get the other 10-15% you need to also use a hand or foot pump to finish inflating.Answered on 10/29/2012 by Justin M. from Overton'sA:
This is a common problem with many different towables, and our suppliers have researched what causes the problem. It has nothing to do with where the tow point is surprisingly. All of our different towable suppliers have found that the problem is caused by under inflation of the towable. If you do not believe me call kwik tek or O'Brien and ask then for yourself.
If you inflate the towable to where you think it is full do this test. Stand on the towable and if you can push it down farther than an inch it is underinflated. Always finish inflating with a hand or foot pump, and get it as full of air as possible.Answered on 10/18/2012 by Justin M. from Overton's
Q:
I am limited on space on my boat. Does this product inflate/deflate, or is it permanently the size of the dimensions provided?Asked on 6/15/2012 by Anonymous0 answers
Q:
We have two circular tubes and the connection to the rope causes water to continuous splash into the eyes of the rider. I was looking at the Doable Booster Ball to lift the rope out of the water near the tube to eliminate this problem. Do you think this will work?Asked on 8/3/2011 by kh from Illinois1 answer
A:
Nope ball is thirty foot from towable, will not stop splashing.Answered on 7/16/2012 by DIGG from Piney Flats TN.
Q:
If storing a towable is it best to deflate completely or leave filled with air?Asked on 7/16/2010 by Hank from Nashville TN2 answers
A:
Leave them inflated if you can afford the storage. Deflating adds the chance for stress points at crease corners when folding that can cause cracks. I know from experience. If you have to deflate, try rolling the product, rather than folding.Answered on 8/1/2011 by Big Al from Lake Gaston, NCVERIFIED BUYER

A:
I would call Overton's customer service as I don't think you can add another rope. Your tube would be way to far behind the boat.Answered on 7/27/2011 by Loon Toon from Lake Wylie,SC
Q:
How does this hook to the boat and the tube? does it have a rope hooked to it? Do i have to buy a seperate rope?Asked on 6/18/2010 by Sand from Michigan1 answer

A:
There is a rope attached at both ends of the ball for you to attach to your tow-able and boat.Answered on 8/15/2011 by Fahking from Southwestern, Mi
Q:
what's the towe rating for this product? I had a 3 person towabel, would it be cappable for it?Asked on 5/3/2010 by Anonymous2 answers
A:
The description of it lists a 4,100-lb. break strength rope. The manufacturer states that the ball is designed for 1-4 person towables, so there shouldn't be a problem. I think it would depend somewhat, on the weight of the 3 persons riding it.Answered on 5/24/2010 by steveg from Ontario, NYA:
The tow rating marked on the box is 4100lbs and is designed for up to a 4 person towable. This shouldn't be a problem with a 3 person tube or water toy.Answered on 6/6/2010 by sgalante from Ontario, NY
Q:
Is the rope bungee rope?Asked on 4/30/2010 by Bryan from Hutto,Tx1 answer

No it's not bungee! Its a tow rope friend.Answered on 7/15/2011 by BUTROSE from savannah, Ga
Q:
My kids enjoy double tubing. Can this product be used for towing double tubes? Would I need 2 booster balls?Asked on 8/11/2009 by Brad from NH3 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
We do not recommend ever towing two tubes at the same timeAnswered on 8/14/2009 by Ike from OvertonsA:
Yes. That's just what I did. Works fine for one or two. For two towables, just order an extra rope and attach at the "ball" to the second towable. Keeps line out of the wake using the much stronger transom mount on my 4 Winns. Ball didn't show any problem with having two towables on it.Answered on 11/17/2009 by CR from Canyon Lake, TXA:
thats what I was planning to do but one person on this site pulls two tubes with one ball. The rope seems strong enough. But will the ball pull two double tubes. Does the Manufacture know the answer.Answered on 3/1/2010 by Crownline 260LS from Tulsa Ok.
